Hello and welcome to my last #funseekingkids round-up for a while! This is my last round-up as I’m now taking “maternity leave” from blogging and I’m not exactly sure when I’ll be back. But, Alana will be holding the reigns and I’ll be back at some point when I’m used to life with a new baby and a three year old! Argh! Can’t believe I’m even typing those words! Anyway, things here have been super busy in the run up to Christmas. Buying and wrapping presents, cleaning, resting, attempting to get rid of bugs and germs! Not to mention party planning and nesting! The bags have finally been put in the car and the Moses basket is up, so we are about ready. My parents are visiting today for our pre-christmas, so we are all looking forward to that. Anyway, onto my #funseekingkids round-up week 38 – full of Christmas cheer!
For those of you who don’t know, #funseekingkids is an Instagram hashtag set up by me and Alana who blogs at Burnished Chaos. Anyone can use the hashtag when they post photos of kids having fun. Each week we share our favourite four images on our blogs and on our Instagram feeds. If you’re a blogger we’ll link over to your blog too. But don’t worry you don’t need to be a blogger to join in. If you’re new to the community please do share the love and let your friends know, we’d love to see some more feeds join us each week.
#funseekingkids round-up week 38
1. My first choice is from the fabulous Lucy who blogs at Lucy at Home. Like I said last week, Lapland UK is on the wish list, and looking at this photo I’m still jealous. Her girls look like they had a fab time meeting what looks like possibly the best Santa ever?!
We visited Father Christmas! This was the last stop on our trip through Lapland UK and it was the absolute cherry on the cake! After 4 hours learning all about elf culture, tramping through a snowy enchanted forest, building toys in the elves’ workshop, decorating gingerbread, completing our elf training, and going ice-skating, it was finally time to visit Father Christmas. And, magically, he knew all about the kids’ music concert last week, about their love of colouring in, about their favourite teddies, and their sleepover at Grandma’s house! But the bit that thrilled my littlies the most was when he opened his Good List book and both of their names were right there! It’s no wonder this is the Christmas destination of choice for the UK’s rich & famous! (and yes we were in a group with an A-lister & her family!) It’s sold out for 2017, but our review tells you where to sign up for the 2018 info as tickets go on sale really early. Plus we’ve got loads of top tips for making the most out of this amazing day! *Link in bio* . . . . . #laplanduk #fatherchristmas #goodlist #magicofchristmas #santasenchantedforest #santasgrotto #coolmumclub #stayclassymama #capturingcolour #mummybloggersuk #thismamaloves #highlightsofhappy #livingfearlesslyauthentic #funseekingkids #myfamilyadventures #happylittlebuttons #WorldofLittles #rememberingthesedays #tbcsmiles #preciousmoments #cherishthesemoments #myhappycapture #pixel_kids #cameramama #mummyshot #letthembelittle #mytinymoments #illuminatechildhood #mycolourfulkids #backsoflittles
2. My second choice is from Hannah who blogs at Hannah and the Twiglets. As we all know, Miss Belle is Frozen obsessed, so this naturally caught my eye. I’m tuned into all things Frozen and Miss Belle would love this display from their local garden centre!
Morning! Well, last night wasn’t amazing to say the least in terms of sleep C is full of cold and H has a slightly croupy-sounding cough – it’s much better than it was in the night and he seems fine in himself so fingers crossed he won’t have full-blown croup Neither of them have had it before but I’ve seen lots of poor babas on here having it and it looks horrid So a day of snuggling today I think. Thank you so much for the lovely comments and messages after my post last night Just read an article about empathising with children’s underlying feelings when they’re having a tantrum and understanding that they need extra love and support rather than punishments or control, as they need to feel safe to express these feelings at home so they can learn how to deal with them. All made complete sense to me but damn it’s hard to remember all that when they’re being complete a*holes Anyway I’m going to really try today (see how long it lasts ) Happy Monday! Here’s a pic of the twigs loving the Frozen display @chessingtongc #frozen
3. My third choice is from Clare Huggett Smith. I love this shot. There’s a tunnel of lights in Norwich we took Miss Belle to the other week but she was typically “scared” of it, even though she’s been loving all the other lights on peoples houses!?! These lights look fab.
We went to @blenheimpalace for their Christmas at Blenheim event yesterday. The lights were absolutely beautiful and it really had the wow factor. Unfortunately Merryn didn’t enjoy it as much as we’d hoped, but perhaps we’ll try again next year. What made it more magical was that there was still snow on the ground. Amazing!
4. And finally my last choice is from Marsha, a new feed I’ve found again thanks to this hashtag. This does look like a great setting for a Santa visit. Thanks Marsha for joining us.

Finally, I always add one of my favourite photos of Alana’s. I had to stick with the Father Christmas theme. Poor L has been under the weather this week but it looks like the big man cheered her up a bit. I hope L and M have a fab Christmas!
So that’s my #funseekingkids round-up week 38. If you don’t follow these accounts already go over and show them some love. Make sure you head over to Alana’s blog to check out her favourite four posts too.
I hope you all have a really wonderful Christmas. Thanks so much to everyone who’s supported us over the last year. I’ll keep you posted on when I’m back in the zone and will be returning with my #funseekingkids round-up posts.
Until then, eat and be merry and here’s to an exciting, healthy and happy 2018!
