Kidsaw Patisserie Bookcase from Kiddies Kingdom: review

We are no longer planning to move this year so now it’s all stations go to prepare the house for another resident when the baby arrives next January. We’ve decluttered Miss Belle’s nursery and are starting on the study which will eventually become her bedroom. We’ve also been trying to make more room in the lounge where all of Miss Belle’s toys and books are kept. So, when I was offered the chance to review a bookcase from the online baby shop and nursery store Kiddies Kingdom, I jumped at the chance. Miss Belle’s books are no longer crammed into the drawers of our coffee table. They are now proudly on display in her bedroom. I chose the Kidsaw Patisserie Bookcase and when you see it, you’ll realise why!

Are you looking for a girly bookcase? This Kidsaw Patisserie Bookcase is painted to look like a patisserie so perfect for role play and learning too. Read my honest review to find out more on the blog.

Kidsaw Patisserie Bookcase

This cute bookcase is not only practical, it’s also super girly and right up Miss Belle’s (and mine’s) street because it’s decorated in a lovely patisserie theme. I was impressed with the quality of the wood and the painted finish. Although the website says it comes with three shelves, I’d argue it really only has two you can use. Unless you want to use the top for teddies and other ornaments or toys. The best bit about this bookcase to me is the lovely colourful design. The bookcase is made to look like a real Parisian Patisserie shop. It has cupcakes, sweets and cake stands painted on the sides. Not only is it a lovely looking bookcase, it’s also great for role play too. Miss Belle was taken with the patisserie design and inspected the cakes on offer!

Kiddies Kingdom sells everything from pushchairs to car seats to kids furniture right down to toys.  The bookcase came promptly in the post, via a delivery company. It came flat pack but it took Matt less than half an hour to put it together, with easy to follow instructions.

Although I love the pink, it wouldn’t really go in our lounge where the rest of Miss Belle’s toys live. But as this is very much for Miss Belle, we decided to move her books up to her bedroom where this fitted well.

When we eventually decorate Miss Belle’s new bedroom I’m going to take inspiration from the colours on the bookcase. I feel a patisserie theme coming along! We are also contemplating getting a conservatory to turn into a playroom. If we do, I can see the bookcase looking great in there too.

My verdict

I’d recommend this bookcase. Not only is it pretty, well made furniture, but it doubles up as something to play with. The Kidsaw Patisserie Bookcase retails at £62 and would make a great addition to a playroom or bedroom.

This looks wonderful, I would have loved to have had one of these in my playroom when I was working as a registered child minder #familyfun@_karendennis

This is gorgeous! I would love to have a bookcase in my youngest’s room but it’s too small to fit one in (the bed and wardrobe were a tight fit as it is!) so they’re all crammed into the wardrobe at the minute. I keep thinking of the old ikea spice rack hack I’ve seen on Pinterest but never get round to it x

Yeah this fits nicely by her cot as you walk in. But it may go in her new room or a playroom if we ever get one! The spice rack hack sounds a good idea though! Xx

Ahh this is cute and there is nothing like a bookshelf for kids that makes them want to read their books off it! I’ll check out their site. ‪Thank you for linking up to the #familyfunlinky‬
