Guest Post: Favourite Family Meals

Today I have a guest post for you from Amy who blogs as part of a review team Eps and Amy. Amy is sharing not one, but three recipes, which are her favourite family meals. Over to Amy…

Hi, I am Amy from Eps and Amy www.epsandamy.co.uk. We blog on all sorts of topics but focus on family and money saving. We also love fashion.

I love cooking for my family. But, I don’t like pre-packaged processed goods and I like to know what is going into my food, but my kids are really fussy so it’s really hard to try and please everyone. I like meals which don’t leave a ton of washing up, so one pot wonders, or at least very few pot wonders are my friend. Here are our three favourite family meals.

Pork and Bean Casserole:

  • Casserole pork
  • One tin of baked beans
  • One tin of mixed pulses
  • Tomato puree
  • Veg of choice

Stick it all in a casserole dish and cook for three hours until well cooked. This is also fab with sausages instead of pork.

Sticky Sausage Bake:

  • Sausages
  • Potatoes cut into wedges
  • Honey
  • Veg of choice

Pre-brown the sausages. The par boil potato wedges for 10 minutes and then drain. Coat everything in olive oil and salt and pepper and place in roasting tin. Drizzle with honey and bake for approximately one hour, until everything is nicely browned.

Tuna Pasta Bake:

  • One tin of tuna
  • Pasta
  • Veg of choice
  • Sauce of choice (tomato or cheese sauce, either works. I often use Philadelphia to make a cheese sauce. It’s also good cold with mayonnaise)

Pre-cook pasta and veg, mix in tuna and cover with sauce. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 10 minutes.

Talk about super easy healthy family recipes!! Thanks to Amy for sharing her favourite family recipes. I will definitely be giving them a try. What are your favourite family meals? Let me know in the comments box.
